Art in America

Április 5, 18h
Janis és Jim - Egy amerikai álom
Zenés beszélgetés a legendás 60-as évekről

A belépés ingyenes.

The Stink Machine in Concert
The History of the Garage Band
October 14, 7 pm in Rocksuli, Boldogfalva u.3.

The U.S. Embassy in Budapest and the American Corner in Debrecen presents the Embassy's very own live band to celebrate Daniel Pearl Music Week. The concert explores the history of the American garage band and its use by suburban youth as a form of self-expression, as well as the interplay between American musical traditions, their influence on British youth, and the re-importation of those styles back to the U.S.  The show includes songs from Buddy Holly, the Who, Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, The Velvet Underground, Neil Young, The Cars, Cream, and several others.

The Stink Machine was formed in January of this year by four U.S. diplomats desperately trying to fight off mid-life crisis by being as loud as possible.

Free admission.

Az Amerikai Nagykövetség és az Amerikai Kuckó bemutatja a The Stink Machine együttes koncertjét, melyet a Daniel Pearl Zenei Hét alkalmából adnak. A garázs rock zenei stílus történetét követheti a közönség végig a koncert folyamán, hogyan alakult ki a kertvárosi ifjak önkifejezési formájaként, az amerikai és brit zenei világra gyakorolt hatását, és azok befolyását a garázs rockra. A koncerten több híres számot hallhatnak Buddy Holly, The Who, Tom Pretty, The Rolling Stones, The Velvet Underground, Neil Young, The Cars, Cream, és sok más együttestől.
