April
April 8 St. Patrick – The Truth and the Traditions
A presentation by Charles W. Sullivan with live Irish music.
Saint Patrick’s Day is celebrated worldwide by Irish people and increasingly by non-Irish people as well. Celebrations are generally themed around all things Irish and, by association, the color green. Both Christians and non-Christians celebrate the secular version of the holiday by wearing green or orange, eating Irish food/green food and having Irish drinks (such as Guinness or Bailey’s Irish Cream) and attending parades.
We are also having a (belated) St Patrick’s Day at the Corner where you can find out more about the truth and traditions of this holiday. Our presenter is Charles W. Sullivan III, Fulbright professor from East Carolina University who is an expert on Celtic Myth and Legends, American Folklore and American Studies.
Program for the day:
4.30 pm English Conversation Club
5.30pm Irish Live Music with Luan
6 pm St. Patrick – The Truth and the Traditions, a presentation by Charles W. Sullivan III
According to the traditions, if you don’t wear something green on St. Patrick’s Day, you will get pinched!

April 23, 7 pm The War Room
